Front Row Motorsports Carfax 400 Recap
Track: Michigan International Speedway, two-mile oval, Brooklyn, Michigan
Starting Position: 32
Finishing Position: 30
Travis Kvapil came into the weekend as the team's strongest performer at Michigan, and that experience held true with Kvapil earning the highest starting position and race result for the Front Row Motorsports team. Kvapil started the event in the 32nd spot after qualifying for the race on speed.
The handling of the No. 38 Long John Silver's Ford went back and forth over the course of the race -- tight, loose, then tight again. But Kvapil drove a clean race, earned five bonus points for leading a lap, and finished in 30th position.
Series points leader Kevin Harvick won the Carfax 400 and became the first driver to clinch a spot in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
Comments from Long John Silver's Ford Team Driver Travis Kvapil after the Michigan race:
"It was an OK day. We had the car tight in the beginning, then we got it loose, and then kind of tight at the end. That was really all we had. The handling went both ways and it just never really got any better."
