Front Row Motorsports Heluva Good at The Glen Qualifying Recap
Track: Watkins Glen International, 2.45-mile road course, Watkins Glen, New York
No. 37 Long John Silver's Ford Team Starting Position: 41
Finishing Position: 30
As a driver without a lot of road racing experience, Travis Kvapil knew he just needed to hold his own and stay out of trouble during today's 90-lap race at The Glen. Starting in the 41st position, Kvapil and the Long John Silver's team succeeded in running a clean race, making improvements where they could and ending the day with a solid 30th-place finish.
The team earned the "Lucky Dog" pass once and finished the race on the leap lap.
Comments from Long John Silver's Ford Team Driver Travis Kvapil after the Watkins Glen race:
"The car was OK, kind of what we expected. Probably more than anything, I kind of struggle at these places. I don't have a lot of laps, a lot of experience. We made some changes on the car and got it a little better. But our number-one goal was to ride it out, take care of our equipment and be there at the end and take what we could get, and that's exactly what we did. I would like to do better, but the car's in one piece and we'll go on to Michigan."
