A Team with Momentum on Its Side

Few teams in the past decade have been able to successfully overcome the challenges of starting up a new operation the way Front Row Motorsports with Yates Racing has. Owned by restaurant entrepreneur and Tennessee native Bob Jenkins, Front Row Motorsports has surpassed the initial challenges of a startup team to successfully establish itself as a serious competitor in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Founded as Means-Jenkins Racing in 2004, Bob Jenkins took full ownership in 2005 and has overseen the team’s growth in the Cup garage for the past five seasons. The 2009 racing season proved to be a launch pad for the organization. With driver John Andretti behind the wheel, the team competed in every NSCS event and secured a place in the top-35 in owner points, thus earning a starting spot in first five events of 2010. 

Moving into 2010, Ford Racing, a proven winner in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition, will lend manufacturer support to Front Row Motorsports’ three NSCS entries for the first time. The team will also have the technical support of Ford and leased engines from the powerful Roush/Yates Racing Engines. The team has moved into a sprawling, state-of-the-art racing facility located in Statesville, NC, which houses the three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams.

Off the track, Front Row Motorsports with Yates Racing has continued to evolve into a powerful marketing platform.  In 2010, Front Row Motorsports with Yates Racing, which is known for superior service to its sponsorship partners, welcomes ExtenZe as the primary sponsor of Kevin Conway and the No. 37 Ford.  Long John Silver’s will return as primary sponsor of the No. 34 Ford driven by Travis Kvapil, and Taco Bell and Mahindra USA Tractors will sponsor the No. 38 Ford, which will be shared by drivers Robert Richardson Jr. and David Gilliland.

From modest beginnings, Front Row Motorsport with Yates Racings now has a solid foundation to build upon, proceeding with momentum from sustained success in 2009.  As one of the very few new teams to come into this difficult landscape and succeed, it is now looking to utilize this momentum and establish itself as a race organization for crew members, drivers, team leaders and partners to thrive with in the coming years.
